Founding Software Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; onsite, in person 4–5 days per week

Salary: $240,000–$300,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build systems that enable autonomous healthcare operations and streamline communication and administrative workflows.
• Develop and own customer-facing product features end-to-end, from design through deployment.
• Improve the scalability, reliability, architecture, and design patterns of core infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product and design to turn AI capabilities into user-facing experiences.
• Ship frequent production improvements in an environment deploying more than 100 times per day.
• Apply engineering best practices in testing, observability, and continuous integration while balancing speed and quality.

Requirements

• Startup mindset with ownership, urgency, pragmatism, and a bias for action.
• Ability to solve complex problems independently with minimal guidance.
• Solid understanding of system design and scalable architecture principles.
• At least 1 year of experience with Java, C#, Go, or Python.
• Willingness to work onsite at the New York City office 4–5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven distributed systems.
• Understanding of machine learning and data.
• AWS experience.
