IT Change Management Lead

What you will do

• Design and own a lightweight ITIL 4-aligned change enablement model covering standard, normal, and emergency changes.
• Define change-management roles, responsibilities, RACI, risk-based approval paths, and delegated authority across Engineering, IT, and Security.
• Act as an internal advisor, pilot the process with engineering and IT teams, gather feedback, and drive adoption through influence.
• Configure Jira, Jira Service Management, Monday.com, or comparable platforms with automated workflows, approvals, notifications, escalations, and status transitions.
• Build change calendars, freeze-window management, conflict detection, and AI-assisted automations for structured audit logs.
• Define KPIs and partner with Security, Compliance, and Internal Audit on ITGC, ITIL, and SOC 2 readiness.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT service management, IT change management, or a closely related discipline, including experience building processes from scratch.
• Working knowledge of ITIL 4 change enablement principles, including standard, normal, and emergency changes, risk-based approval, and delegated authority.
• Hands-on experience administering Jira, Jira Service Management, Monday.com, or comparable ITSM/work-management platforms and building workflows and automation rules.
• Experience with low-code/no-code automation such as Jira Automation, Workato, Zapier, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with SOX IT general controls, audit evidence requirements, or SOC 2 audit preparation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to gain adoption from engineers and executives without relying on positional authority.

Nice to have

• ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
• DevOps, SRE, and CI/CD experience.
• Experience with AI tools or agents for documentation, summaries, or audit trails.
• Experience with GRC or audit-management tools such as Vanta, Drata, or ServiceNow GRC.
• Healthcare, fintech, regulated-industry, IPO, or SOC 2 Type II audit experience.
