Director, Analytics Engineering

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus and equity

What you will do

• Lead analytics engineering strategy and establish best practices across the organization.
• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytics-ready datasets.
• Partner with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Implement data quality checks, validation methodologies, and processes for resolving data inconsistencies.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and self-service reporting tools using TIBCO Spotfire, Power BI, and related visualization platforms.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction to analytics engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, business analytics, or a related field; advanced degrees are highly preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
• Expertise with Python, SQL, DBT, scalable data pipelines, advanced ETL, and at least one data warehouse such as Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Strong background in data instrumentation, data QA, data accuracy, and complex data environments.
• Experience developing automated reporting and visualization solutions with platforms such as TIBCO Spotfire and Power BI.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.

• Knowledge of the YouTube or content creator industry.
• Experience with equivalent business intelligence and data products.
