Director, Analytics Engineering

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead analytics engineering strategy and establish best practices across the function.
• Partner with data engineers to build smooth, resilient, and scalable data delivery pipelines.
• Translate analytical needs from business units, data scientists, analysts, and senior stakeholders into datasets and technical solutions.
• Improve ETL processes for scalability, security, extensibility, efficiency, and organizational alignment.
• Build analytics-ready datasets, data quality checks, validation processes, dashboards, and self-service reporting tools.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship while resolving data inconsistencies across analytics and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, business analytics, or a related field; advanced degrees are highly preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
• Expertise in scalable data pipelines and advanced ETL, including Python, SQL, dbt, and at least one data warehouse such as Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Strong background in data instrumentation, data quality assurance, and maintaining data accuracy in complex environments.
• Experience developing automated reporting and visualization solutions with TIBCO Spotfire, Power BI, or equivalent products.
• Strong cross-functional communication, problem-solving, strategic direction, and team mentorship skills.
