Member of Technical Staff, Data (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Mateo; required to work in the office three days per week

Salary: $180K–$240K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Build and maintain business-critical production data pipelines as the data platform scales.
• Partner with business teams to support analytics, experimentation, forecasting, and growth.
• Translate business needs into clear metrics, dimensions, and data models.
• Design data solutions with data platform engineers and put pipelines into production.
• Ensure data consumers receive reliable, actionable information for decision-making.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and writing pipeline jobs.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining production data pipelines.
• Experience translating business needs into metrics, dimensions, and data models.
• Excellent communication with senior-level technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated autonomy in open-ended problem-solving environments.
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
• Experience with Google BigQuery.
• Experience with dbt, Coalesce, Airflow, or similar tools.
• Experience using a data quality or observability tool such as Bigeye, Monte Carlo, or Great Expectations.
• Availability to work in the San Mateo office three days per week.
