Candidates living within 50 miles of either office must work on-site there; candidates outside this radius may be considered for a remote arrangement subject to company approval and business needs. Salary: $175,000–$190,000 USD per year.

Company

Insurance organization focused on enrollment coverage, customer experience, and insurance distribution.

What you will do

  • Own data-platform architecture, build-versus-buy decisions, engineering standards, and the quarterly roadmap.
  • Build and operate production ETL/ELT pipelines and API integrations from cloud storage, CRM, Genesys Cloud, Retreaver, carrier, licensing, contracting, and book-of-business systems.
  • Manage Snowflake operations, including access control, warehouse sizing, query performance, PHI and PII handling, testing, monitoring, alerting, documentation, and consumption costs.
  • Build dimensional models, curated marts, semantic layers, and analytics-ready datasets for agents, agencies, carriers, plans, leads, calls, enrollments, policies, and commissions.
  • Deliver call-center staffing and volume forecasts, enrollment-seasonality forecasts, and commission and revenue forecasts; support segmentation, attribution, experimentation, lead scoring, and agent-attrition models.
  • Lead, coach, and grow the data team; manage incidents and recovery procedures; partner with operations, sales, compliance, finance, and technology leaders; and own the data-function budget.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a closely related role, including 2+ years leading or mentoring a data team and making architecture or technology decisions.
  • Advanced, current Snowflake experience covering data modeling, SQL optimization, RBAC, warehouse and workload management, and cost management.
  • Advanced SQL and strong Python, with experience building and operating production ETL/ELT pipelines and API integrations.
  • Deep knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data-quality testing, observability, and cloud object storage.
  • Working statistical competence in forecasting, segmentation, experimentation design, or predictive modeling applied to business decisions.
  • Experience owning or materially influencing a cloud, software, or vendor budget.
  • Ability to explain technical decisions and tradeoffs to non-technical executives and decline requests with a reason.
  • Ability to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale or Clearwater, Monday through Friday.

Nice to have

  • AWS, including S3, Lambda, Glue, EventBridge, and IAM; dbt or a comparable transformation framework; and Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
  • Git-based workflow and CI/CD for data.
  • Contact-center, CRM, insurance distribution, lead-generation, or performance-marketing data experience; Medicare or ACA experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience handling PHI and PII under HIPAA and working with compliance teams on CMS and TCPA reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

Culture & Benefits

  • Customer-focused environment centered on improving lives and the insurance experience.
  • Paid holidays, paid time off, medical insurance with national plan options, dental insurance, and vision insurance.
