Manufacturing Cell Technician / Operator - Second Shift (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Chatsworth, California, United States. Second shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM. Overtime, extended hours, schedule changes, and occasional weekends may be required.

What you will do

• Safely operate machinery and robotic manufacturing equipment.
• Load, unload, position, align, and secure aluminum and steel panels and components.
• Verify materials, tooling, fixtures, setups, and orientations before production operations.
• Follow work instructions, drawings, routers, travelers, work orders, and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor equipment, perform authorized adjustments and basic troubleshooting, and escalate alarms, defects, and process issues.
• Complete production and quality records, perform in-process inspections, maintain traceability, and support 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing, fabrication, machining, assembly, or industrial production experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using common hand tools, torque tools, fixtures, and clamps.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturing documentation and safely handle aluminum and steel panels up to approximately 5 ft. × 7 ft.
• Comfort working around automated machinery and robotic equipment, with strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
• Ability to work on-site in Chatsworth and support production schedules, including overtime or occasional weekends.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, CNC, fabrication, or high-mix/low-volume production.
• Experience operating robotic or automated manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, dimensional requirements, ISO 9001, AS9100D, FOD prevention, ERP/MRP systems, or electronic work instructions.
