Director of Data (AI)

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $200,000–$265,000 base salary per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design, build, and own the end-to-end data stack, including ingestion, warehousing, transformation, orchestration, analysis, and BI.
• Architect scalable pipelines connecting GTM, Marketing, Finance, and Product systems to a governed centralized warehouse.
• Define and document canonical metrics such as ARR, pipeline, retention, usage, and unit economics.
• Build executive, board, and departmental reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into company performance.
• Increase automation, improve data quality and reconciliation, evaluate vendors, and oversee data-tool implementations.
• Support planning, forecasting, GTM funnel instrumentation, pricing and usage analysis, and diligence-ready data packages.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data infrastructure, analytics engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology company with approximately $30M–$150M+ ARR.
• Strong data infrastructure and data engineering skills, complemented by data analysis and governance expertise.
• Fluency with Snowflake, Databricks, ClickHouse, HubSpot, Salesforce, QuickBooks, Fivetran, dbt, NetSuite, and MySQL.
• Experience partnering with GTM, Marketing, Finance, and Product, plus an understanding of AI and SaaS business models.
• Ability to work as an individual contributor in a fast-moving, ambiguous, hypergrowth environment while building scalable frameworks.
