Director, Analytics Engineering (AI)

Location: Remote-first in the United States

Salary: $249,500–$355,000 base salary annually, depending on geographic pay zone, plus eligibility for a company-wide bonus program.

What you will do

• Define and own the long-term vision for enterprise data architecture, including data models, integration patterns, governance, and AI-native systems design.
• Lead, mentor, and grow an analytics engineering team building scalable, reliable, and well-documented data foundations.
• Design and operationalize a unified semantic layer with canonical datasets, modeling standards, lineage, query documentation, and business context.
• Establish standards for data modeling, metadata management, data governance, data quality, lineage, and access control.
• Build skills repositories and validation frameworks for analytics agents to support accurate, reliable data-informed decisions.
• Partner with analytics teams and cross-functional stakeholders to define trusted metrics, improve data usability, and support decision-making.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in data and analytics engineering.
• Deep experience building and maintaining scalable data models and infrastructure in modern data stack environments.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, data modeling, ETL/ELT, dbt, Snowflake, and Tableau.
• Track record of implementing data models, testing frameworks, dashboards, and documentation standards that enable trust and reusability.
• Strategic leadership experience managing and developing high-performing analytics engineering teams.
• Valid United States work authorization is required.
