Senior People Team Business Partner

Location: On-site five days per week at the Torrance, California facility in the Los Angeles area. Applicants must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Salary: $100,000–$175,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Champion a high-performance, people-first culture and support employee engagement.
• Develop scalable HR policies, compliance practices, and operational processes.
• Advise employees and managers on policies, employee relations, investigations, and workplace matters.
• Guide leaders on talent, performance, organizational design, change management, and team effectiveness.
• Lead employee lifecycle processes, including mobility, promotions, offboarding, leave, and accommodations.
• Partner on headcount planning, workforce planning, job architecture, people analytics, and cross-functional People initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of progressive HR or People Operations experience in a high-growth, high-performance environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices across multiple jurisdictions, especially California.
• Experience supporting leaders through coaching, feedback, employee relations, and organizational change.
• Ability to work long hours and weekends when necessary to support critical milestones.
• Ability to work on-site five days per week in Torrance, California.

Nice to have

• Experience as an early HR hire at a startup or scaling company.
• Experience supporting exempt and non-exempt employees, engineering, R&D, or manufacturing teams.
• Experience with Rippling HRIS, compensation planning, organizational design, workforce planning, and performance review cycles.
• Knowledge of employment laws in Washington, Idaho, South Carolina, and other states.
