Commercial Credit Analyst I - CVL

What you will do

• Analyze commercial credit applications and assess the risk of extending credit.
• Approve or deny financing requests within established credit authority and policies.
• Review financial statements, collateral, debt service, personal financial statements, and cash flow as appropriate.
• Build relationships with dealership personnel and support internal and external sales activities.
• Educate GM dealers about commercial products through outbound calls and maintain knowledge of CVL plans and programs.
• Screen commercial parties for U.S. Patriot Act compliance and manage application queues to required service levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to manage high application and call volumes, competing demands, deadlines, and daily service-level requirements.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and credit bureaus.
• Ability to make sound business decisions based on policies and procedures and work independently.
• Strong customer service, oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of credit underwriting.
• Automotive lending, credit buying, dealership, fleet/commercial, or indirect auto finance experience.
• Associate or bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or a related field.
