Commercial Counsel (AI)

Location: Remote, based in the United States; New York City listed

Salary: $175,000–$220,000 base annually, plus equity and bonus

What you will do

• Review and negotiate commercial contracts with speed and precision.
• Identify material obligations, legal risks, off-market terms, anomalies, and edge cases.
• Collaborate with hirify.global legal team members to interpret contract terms and apply expert judgment.
• Identify recurring review patterns and convert them into workflow improvements.
• Standardize recurring contract types and develop playbooks that improve consistency.
• Partner with engineering and operations to evolve the legal service delivery model.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience reviewing commercial contracts in private practice or in-house.
• Exceptional attention to detail and sound commercial judgment.
• Ability to identify buried clauses, incorrect cross-references, and meaningful risks.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain complex decisions simply.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Interest in applying AI to legal practice.
