TL;DR
Sr. Service Product Marketing Manager – Used Tools & Legacy Platforms (Semiconductor Equipment): Developing global lifecycle and commercialization strategies for mature and end-of-life ion implantation platforms, used tools, refurbishment programs, and aftermarket offerings with an accent on lifecycle revenue, customer value, and parts obsolescence mitigation. Focus on building EOL roadmaps, pricing and ROI models, refurbishment frameworks, and cross-functional strategies that improve serviceability, margin, and customer retention.

Location: Beverly, Massachusetts, United States; onsite or hybrid. Travel up to 20%.

U.S. base salary: $136,195.60–$204,293.40 per year, plus eligibility for a team incentive bonus and benefits for regular employees working 20+ hours per week.

What you will do

  • Own global commercial strategy for pre-owned and used tools, refurbishment, retrofits, life extensions, asset redeployment, trading, and buybacks.
  • Develop lifecycle revenue, customer value, cost-of-ownership, consumables, ROI, pricing, and margin models.
  • Define and execute end-of-life and legacy platform roadmaps, including last-time buys, inventory risk mitigation, customer transitions, retirement plans, and upgrade paths.
  • Lead parts obsolescence strategy across electrical, motion, RF, vacuum, and control systems, partnering with engineering and supply chain on risk mitigation.
  • Represent Customer Solutions & Innovation in NPI, design reviews, and Design-for-X initiatives to improve serviceability, upgradeability, and long-term lifecycle value.
  • Lead competitive and market intelligence while coordinating engineering, supply chain, service, sales, finance, and legal stakeholders in a global matrixed organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Science engineering.
  • 7–12+ years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment, global services, aftermarket, or product marketing.
  • Experience with tool lifecycle management, end-of-life planning, parts obsolescence, installed-base value, used tools, refurbishment, buybacks, or redeployment.
  • Strong understanding of wafer fab operations, mature-node manufacturing economics, tool architecture, productivity, uptime drivers, and service economics.
  • Experience with cost-of-ownership and lifecycle value modeling, BOM risk, supplier lifecycle data, ERP, CRM, and analytics tools such as Power BI.
  • Role is based in Beverly, Massachusetts and requires onsite or hybrid availability.

  • MBA or advanced business education.
  • Experience with NPI and Design-for-X collaboration.
  • Experience developing refurbishment cost, depreciation, valuation, inventory exposure, or buyback models.
