Cost Control Engineer (Construction)

Location: On-site in Maadi, Egypt

What you will do

• Develop and implement procedures for monitoring construction project expenses.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost estimates, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Track expenditures, review cost performance, and prepare variance reports for project managers.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks with project teams.
• Support progress billing, supplier and contractor invoice verification, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate communication between finance and project teams to maintain transparency and compliance with accounting policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cost engineering or cost control within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of construction contracts and risk management.
