Software Architect (AWS)

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and evolution of high-volume broadcast messaging and global video and media workflows.
• Design backend services, APIs, integrations, and publishing platforms for ingestion, transcoding, archiving, metadata management, search, and retrieval.
• Integrate AI-based capabilities for video analysis, metadata generation, tagging, quality checks, semantic search, and content evaluation.
• Define architecture guidelines, engineering standards, and technical designs in collaboration with engineering, DevOps, and product teams.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, the full software development lifecycle, and cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Improve system reliability, scalability, and performance while supporting incident response and production troubleshooting.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of commercial software engineering experience with advanced backend and distributed-systems knowledge.
• Strong backend development skills in Java, Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Production experience integrating or extending Digital Asset Management or Media Asset Management platforms.
• Experience with large-scale video production, publishing, archiving, distribution, rights-management, or licensing workflows.
• Knowledge of APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, message queues, distributed systems, and cloud services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• English at communicative B2+ level, sufficient for daily interaction with customers and global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Mimir, CHP, WordPress, Rightsline, Suite, LucidLink, Mosaic, or similar media platforms and production tools.
• Knowledge of video formats, codecs, retention policies, cloud-storage strategies, taxonomies, metadata standards, semantic search, and content discovery.
• Experience with computer vision, ML model integration, automated content evaluation, or major LLM providers.
• Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.
