What you will do

• Lead a team of approximately five machine learning engineers.
• Research, prototype, and deploy models using multimodal data from robotic sensors.
• Develop systems that identify anomalous machine states, classify objects, and extract useful information from industrial sites.
• Establish methods for evaluating inspection model performance and curate datasets for training, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
• Improve model performance through fine-tuning, model selection, prompt engineering, and related strategies.
• Collaborate with full-stack engineers, product management, design, ML platform engineers, and robotics researchers.

Requirements

• BS with 10+ years of experience, or MS with 7+ years of industry experience, in computer science, machine learning, robotics, or a related field.
• Expert software development skills, particularly in Python.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization.
• Experience training, fine-tuning, and applying state-of-the-art generative AI models, preferably for computer vision.
• Experience with CUDA, PyTorch, common ML architectures, and ML workflows.
• Ability to follow the state of the art, identify product applications, solve challenging computer vision problems, and communicate findings clearly.
