Senior/Staff Machine Learning Engineer (Motion Planning)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; hybrid workplace with regular office presence.

Salary: $130,000–$220,000 per year, hirify.global cash and equity compensation.

What you will do

• Develop deep learning models for the motion-planning stack using map and perception sensor data.
• Design safety checks that validate feasible trajectories and compliance with road rules.
• Optimize model development and deployment for real-time operation in compute-constrained environments.
• Track and apply multidisciplinary research advances in autonomous driving and machine learning.
• Support quality management, continuous improvement, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company quality policies.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in software, robotics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of machine learning engineering experience in robotics applications.
• Experience developing software from design and implementation through testing and deployment.
• Expertise in Python and willingness to contribute to C++ development.
• Experience training models with modern frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Experience designing experiments, training and validation datasets, evaluation metrics, and cloud data ingestion pipelines, hirify.global strong communication and collaboration skills.
