Salary: $126,200β$210,350 USD per year; eligible for a discretionary annual bonus

What you will do
- Lead the architecture, design, implementation, verification, and validation of embedded firmware for complex control systems.
- Design and develop firmware for advanced throttle valve products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and deliver product improvements.
- Establish firmware development practices, including coding standards, design reviews, and automated test frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to firmware engineers.
- Drive improvements in firmware quality, reliability, and development efficiency.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in embedded systems and firmware development, including control algorithms.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ for real-time embedded systems.
- Experience with debugging and system bring-up using emulators, oscilloscopes, and communication bus analyzers.
- Experience with version control systems and structured software release processes.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Certain positions may require applicants to be U.S. persons due to ITAR or EAR-controlled technologies.
Nice to have
- Experience with industrial fieldbus protocols such as EtherCAT or DeviceNet.
- Experience with motion control systems, including stepper and BLDC motors.
- Understanding of feedback control theory, including PID control and tuning.
- Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, and other communication protocols.
