TL;DR
Staff Platform Engineer (AI): Building the core platforms and infrastructure for secure agentic applications, including identity services, policy enforcement, Kubernetes operators, CI/CD automation, and developer-facing systems with an accent on distributed systems, reliability, and security. Focus on designing deterministic delivery and consistency guarantees, extending runtimes and service meshes, and enabling resilient agent-native applications at global scale.
Location: Remote in the United States or Canada
Compensation: Market-competitive salary and equity package with a 4-year vesting schedule and 1-year cliff.

What you will do
- Build core systems and infrastructure for identity services, policy enforcement, audit logging, and runtime governance.
- Develop Kubernetes operators, CI/CD automation, internal developer platforms, and core product services.
- Design systems with deterministic guarantees for delivery, consistency, availability, security, and fault tolerance.
- Improve developer productivity through reliable automation, pipelines, observability, and platform abstractions.
- Collaborate with founders, product, design, SDK engineers, and core services engineers.
- Help shape internal adoption of coding agents and agent-native engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong programming experience with Go and/or Rust.
- Experience building developer-facing platforms, Kubernetes operators, CI/CD abstractions, internal tooling, and core services.
- Expertise in distributed systems, including consensus, coordination, and state management.
- Experience with identity and access protocols such as OIDC, OAuth, and mTLS.
- Ability to build secure, resilient systems with strong observability and fault tolerance.
- Experience in edge computing, intelligent routing, globally distributed systems, eBPF, service meshes, custom Kubernetes operators, or plugin-driven architectures.
Nice to have
- Experience with emerging agent protocols such as MCP and A2A.
- Hands-on experimentation with Claude Code, Cursor, MCP, or other coding agents.
- Experience in 0-to-1 environments and early-stage product development.
