Staff Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Brazil; currently remote, with a planned hybrid hub-centric strategy in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.

What you will do

• Design and manage highly available, scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes and cloud-native services.
• Build and improve the Internal Developer Platform, developer portals, CI/CD pipelines, and internal tooling.
• Implement observability, security standards, infrastructure-as-code practices, and cost optimization.
• Design scalable MLOps and LLM deployment, serving, and monitoring pipelines with AI and Data teams.
• Own the platform technical roadmap, balancing delivery speed with technical-debt management.
• Mentor engineers and align infrastructure automation with Product and Product Engineering leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in cloud architecture with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, Istio, Terraform, networking, and security.
• Experience deploying and customizing developer portals such as Backstage or Port.io.
• Production experience with Terraform unit testing, Helm charts, and Terratest.
• Exceptional Golang and systems architecture expertise.
• Experience driving architectural strategy, communicating with non-technical stakeholders, and mentoring senior and mid-level engineers.
