Staff Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote initially, with a planned transition to a hub-centric hybrid strategy in Miami, San Francisco, or New York, United States.

What you will do

• Design and operate highly available, scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes and cloud-native services.
• Build and evolve the Internal Developer Platform, internal tooling, self-service workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement observability, security standards, infrastructure governance, and cost-optimization practices.
• Define infrastructure-as-code and platform standards across engineering squads while managing the long-term technical roadmap.
• Design scalable LLM model deployment, serving, and monitoring pipelines with AI and Data teams.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with Product and engineering leadership on platform strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of architectural strategy and solving complex operational bottlenecks.
• Deep expertise in AWS or GCP, Kubernetes/GKE, Istio, Terraform, networking, and security.
• Experience deploying and customizing developer portals such as Backstage or Port.io.
• Expertise in Terraform unit testing, Helm charts, and Terratest.
• Exceptional Golang and systems architecture knowledge.
• Strong communication, technical evangelism, cross-functional alignment, and mentorship skills.
