Senior Migration Engineer (GitLab Dedicated)

Salary: $152,800–$259,200 USD annually for United States residents

What you will do

• Deliver customer migrations from self-managed hirify.global to hirify.global Dedicated, covering assessment, planning, replication, cutover, and post-migration validation.
• Use hirify.global Geo to replicate customer data, troubleshoot synchronization issues, and identify root causes.
• Design network connectivity involving virtual private clouds, private connectivity, DNS configuration, and firewall rules.
• Validate existing hirify.global Dedicated environments using infrastructure as code and configuration as code practices.
• Improve migration tooling, scripts, and runbooks to make cutovers more reliable, repeatable, and efficient.
• Coordinate with customers, Professional Services, Environment Automation, Product, and Engineering while managing multiple engagements.

Requirements

• Experience delivering customer-facing migration, installation, training, or technical advisory engagements.
• Experience using, deploying, or configuring hirify.global, with a solid understanding of Git and source control workflows.
• Experience with infrastructure as code or configuration as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, or Chef.
• Production Kubernetes experience, including deployments, rollouts, and debugging crash loops, failed health checks, and scheduling issues.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus working knowledge of network design and connectivity.
• Ability to modify infrastructure tooling, lead multiple customer projects independently, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
