TL;DR
IT Manager (AI Cybersecurity): Building and scaling Kai's corporate IT function, endpoint environment, identity infrastructure, asset management, and employee support operations with an accent on Jamf Pro, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and macOS-first administration. Focus on designing zero-to-one IT processes, hardening endpoint security, automating onboarding and offboarding, and establishing reliable procurement and help-desk workflows.
Location: 5 days a week in-office in North San Jose, California, United States

What you will do
- Build and own the corporate IT function, including day-to-day operations, reliability, and scalable processes.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Jamf Pro, macOS endpoints, network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, VPN, and related tools.
- Manage hardware and software assets across procurement, deployment, inventory, licensing, refresh, and secure disposal.
- Design repeatable onboarding and auditable offboarding workflows in partnership with HR and department leads.
- Serve as the primary IT support escalation point, define help-desk SLAs, build a self-service knowledge base, and implement an ITSM platform where needed.
- Work with Security, Legal, and Finance on endpoint hardening, software approvals, purchasing, budgeting, and IT spend forecasting.
Requirements
- 7+ years of IT experience, including at least 2 years as an IT Manager or Senior IT Administrator.
- Startup experience, preferably building an IT program from zero to one.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Jamf Pro, including configuration profiles, policies, smart groups, patch management, and zero-touch deployment.
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration skills covering Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and licensing.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, SSO, conditional access, MFA, RBAC, application provisioning, macOS-first environments, asset management, and procurement.
- Strong understanding of IT security, endpoint hardening, least-privilege access, scalable documentation, runbooks, communication, and employee service.
Nice to have
- Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP requirements for corporate IT.
- Experience with ZTNA, context-aware access, PAM, AI productivity tools, or ITSM platforms.
- Bash, Python, or PowerShell scripting for IT workflow automation.
- Relevant Jamf, Microsoft 365, CompTIA Security+, or ITIL certifications.
