What you will do
- Secure high-impact locations for bus stops and stations through government relationships and private-sector negotiations.
- Build relationships with government agencies, municipal councils, regulatory bodies, businesses, transit agencies, and property owners.
- Lead regional strategy and state and federal affairs while aligning commercial objectives with government policies.
- Represent in discussions with transportation authorities, media, infrastructure planning forums, hearings, and public consultations.
- Lead site acquisition and ensure compliance with zoning, permitting, safety, and transportation regulations.
- Manage up to two direct reports and serve as the primary contact for station and government-relations matters.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Business, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or real estate development, including work with government entities.
- Demonstrated success securing agreements with government agencies or private stakeholders.
- 2+ years of project management experience and strong knowledge of transportation regulations and public transit systems.
- At least 1 year of people management experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, policy analysis, writing, communication, and presentation skills, plus familiarity with real estate transactions, land-use planning, and infrastructure development.

- Experience with RFPs and grant writing.
