Senior Manager, Applied Science (AI)

Location: Irvine, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, or other locations in the United States

Base compensation: $180,000–$220,000 per year

What you will do

• Set the strategic and technical direction for the Machine Learning Engineering team.
• Own the end-to-end development, deployment, and maintenance of machine learning models powering products and services.
• Develop and coach machine learning engineers while building strong engineering, architecture, and quality practices.
• Apply supervised learning, causal inference, statistical techniques, and other machine learning methods to forecasting, incremental value measurement, and personalization.
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, and Content leadership to deliver actionable insights and guide strategic decisions.
• Build stakeholder relationships and ensure timely delivery of impactful machine learning solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in machine learning, including 3+ years leading and scaling high-performing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in developing and applying machine learning models to real-world business problems.
• Proven ability to deliver results at scale through innovation and operational excellence.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a track record of collaboration across technical and business teams.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in ad tech or digital advertising systems.
• Publications or contributions to leading machine learning or data science conferences.
