Security Engineer, Enterprise Security (Cybersecurity)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid schedule with in-office work required 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Salary: $124,000–$155,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Implement and maintain Zero Trust security frameworks, including least-privilege access controls.
• Administer email security, DLP, insider threat prevention, and endpoint security technologies such as CrowdStrike and Kandji.
• Manage identity governance workflows, including secure user lifecycle and access controls with Okta.
• Automate security configurations using Terraform and support security automation with Python or PowerShell.
• Participate in the incident response on-call rotation, triage alerts, execute playbooks, and mitigate incidents.
• Gather compliance evidence, verify controls for SOX and SOC 2, and maintain security baselines for third-party SaaS applications.

Requirements

• 3+ years of enterprise security experience focused on email security, DLP, or endpoint detection tools.
• Knowledge of identity governance, SaaS security baselines, and SOX/SOC 2 compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in basic security automation scripting with Python or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with containerized environments, GitOps workflows, and AWS security services.
• Ability to work in the San Francisco office at least 3 days per week as an essential function of the role.
