Technical Pre-Sales Prototyper / Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: New York, New York, United States. Hybrid work model; employees within commuting distance of a hirify.global office are expected to work onsite at least 50% of the time. Travel to client sites may be required up to 25%.

What you will do

• Rapidly design, build, and deliver end-to-end prototypes, demos, and proofs-of-concept.
• Partner with sales and business development to identify customer needs, run discovery sessions, and tailor prototypes.
• Represent hirify.global in executive-level meetings and communicate technical and business value.
• Work as a forward-deployed engineer in customer and partner environments, validating opportunities and feeding insights into the product roadmap.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing on product direction and positioning.
• Provide technical guidance on APIs, integrations, cloud deployments, and lightweight AI/LLM applications while developing repeatable prototyping frameworks and playbooks.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of relevant post-college work experience.
• Strong programming and prototyping ability with Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar technologies.
• Ability to build functional, semi-deployable solutions across modern stacks, including APIs, data pipelines, cloud environments, and frontend frameworks.
• Experience or comfort with AI/LLM-based tools, APIs, and modern developer ecosystems.
• Strong customer-facing, discovery, business development, executive communication, and technical storytelling skills.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and travel to client sites as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience in technical pre-sales, forward deployment, or field engineering.
• Background in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or early-stage startups.
• Ability to balance rapid prototyping with longer-term scalability considerations.
• Strong storytelling skills for prototypes and demos.
