Project Manager - Finance Transformation (FinTech)

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid work with three days per week in-office on Tuesday, Thursday, and one additional chosen day. Extra remote time may be requested.

Salary: €46,500–€67,000 gross per annum

What you will do

• Act as the Finance stakeholder in product development cycles, defining billing, tax, and accounting requirements from inception to launch.
• Lead fiscal, VAT, and regulatory implementation for new products across European jurisdictions.
• Supervise billing engine flows and automated invoicing for B2B and B2C business lines.
• Manage financial front-end processes and reconcile transaction data, merchant payouts, and user balances with accounting systems.
• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, and Core Accounting teams to deliver cross-functional projects.
• Automate manual finance workflows and manage processes for existing and future welfare products.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, Business Analyst, or Consultant in Finance Transformation, FinTech Operations, or financial systems implementation.
• Knowledge of financial product flows, billing and invoicing systems, and corporate tax/VAT logic for digital products or payments.
• Experience independently managing complex cross-functional projects in dynamic environments.
• Comfort working with complex data structures, APIs, and modern digital ecosystems.
• Familiarity with ERP integrations or SQL/data tools; SAP S/4HANA knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent Italian and English are required.
