Senior SaaS Postgres DBA

Location: Remote or hybrid in the United Kingdom, subject to location; candidates must have a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.

What you will do

• Install, configure, monitor, tune, and optimize PostgreSQL database environments.
• Manage backups, recovery, replication, clustering, and disaster recovery.
• Handle database security, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
• Administer SaaS platforms, including SSO, IAM, and user lifecycle management.
• Manage cloud platforms and Linux servers while automating operations and responding to incidents.
• Maintain documentation, compliance practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and vendor relationships.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a PostgreSQL DBA.
• Expertise in SQL, database performance tuning, and high availability.
• Experience with Linux administration and SaaS platform administration.
• Knowledge of Azure and security and compliance best practices.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; relevant PostgreSQL, cloud, or Linux certifications are desirable.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Terraform or Ansible.
• DevOps and CI/CD experience.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS environments.
