Senior Frontend Engineer (AI)

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead frontend architecture and make technical decisions for the core platform.
• Build responsive, performant interfaces that expose complex AI capabilities and support real-time agent updates and developer workflows.
• Refactor existing frontend systems, reduce technical debt, and improve maintainability and performance.
• Establish component library and design system foundations, frontend engineering standards, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams on user experiences, API integrations, and technical strategy.
• Mentor junior frontend engineers, conduct code reviews, and advise leadership on frontend architecture.

Requirements

• 10+ years of frontend development experience building complex, production-grade applications.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, with deep expertise in React and its ecosystem.
• Strong experience with state management using Redux, MobX, Zustand, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Webpack, Vite, esbuild, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization.
• Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Cypress, and frontend testing methodologies.
• Technical leadership experience, including mentoring, code reviews, and establishing engineering standards.

Nice to have

• GraphQL, WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, WebAssembly, micro-frontends, or monorepo management experience.
• Experience with design systems, advanced animations, accessibility standards, or open-source contributions.
• Experience using and reviewing AI-generated code, writing reusable prompts, and establishing AI-assisted development processes.
• Experience at high-growth startups or in frontend technical leadership roles.
