Senior/Staff Full-Stack Engineer, Simulation Platform (React/TypeScript)

Location: Onsite five days per week in Santa Clara, California, United States

Salary: $170,000–$240,000 per year

What you will do

• Build a high-performance web-based simulation platform for running, visualizing, and analyzing complex simulations at scale.
• Develop responsive React and TypeScript interfaces with Three.js or WebGL visualizations for simulation environments and sensor data.
• Design scalable REST and WebSocket APIs for real-time telemetry and simulation control commands.
• Design PostgreSQL schemas and integrate time-series storage for simulation metadata and high-frequency logs.
• Configure Grafana dashboards and monitoring for simulation health, resource usage, and performance metrics.
• Use Docker and Kubernetes to orchestrate simulation workers and optimize browser rendering for smooth 60fps playback.

Requirements

• Expert-level TypeScript and Node.js, or backend experience with Go or Python.
• Experience with Three.js and WebGL.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including complex queries and indexing, plus Redis.
• Deep experience with Grafana and Prometheus.
• Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud providers, especially Azure.
• Experience with WebSockets, Protobuf, or similar binary data formats.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ROS or ROS2.
• Experience building developer tools or engineering productivity software.
• Knowledge of WebAssembly for performance-critical client-side logic.
