What you will do

  • Lead the conceptual design, analysis, and execution of thermal system components and loops for advanced power plant systems.
  • Perform multiscale thermal-fluid analysis of complex internal turbulent flows using CFD and system-level codes.
  • Develop and validate CFD and thermal-hydraulic models for reactor components, structural stability, performance, and design safety.
  • Design and optimize heat exchangers, piping networks, fluid storage tanks, and pressure-boundary equipment.
  • Perform structural, thermal, and fluid analyses using FEA and CFD to validate designs for manufacturability and rapid deployment.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Nuclear, and Systems Engineers while driving projects from concept through final design verification.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Thermofluids Engineer or in a similar analytical role developing thermal system components for power plants, nuclear systems, or complex industrial systems.
  • Expert proficiency in CFD software, such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or OpenFOAM, and system-level thermal-hydraulic codes.
  • Strong knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and internal turbulent flow phenomena.
  • Ability to perform in-depth component- and system-level multiscale heat-transfer analyses.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
