Salary: $131,828–$171,206 per year; the range is specific to Washington State.

Company

hirify.global develops advanced nuclear technologies, hybrid energy solutions, and medical isotope applications.

What you will do

  • Develop and apply steady-state and transient one-dimensional network thermal-hydraulic analysis methods.
  • Analyze in-core steady-state thermal-hydraulic phenomena and perform first-principles calculations in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
  • Benchmark and validate nuclear systems and subchannel analysis codes to support qualification and methodology development.
  • Integrate with component, system, fuel, and control-system engineering groups and support thermal-hydraulic testing programs.
  • Support reactor-core design decisions, project planning, work-scope definition, and testing activities.
  • Document findings, present technical analyses, and provide reasoned recommendations to the core thermal-hydraulics team and broader engineering organization.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a master's degree; relevant PhD research may be considered.
  • Experience participating in multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.
  • Experience with nuclear systems or subchannel analysis codes such as RELAP, SASSYS, GOTHIC, or VIPRE-01 is valued.
  • Knowledge of nuclear reactor-core subchannel analysis, low-Prandtl-number heat transfer, or high-temperature thermal-fluid systems such as sodium is valued.
  • Applicants may be subject to U.S. Government export-control review; foreign-national eligibility will be evaluated under applicable requirements.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employment with competitive compensation and eligibility for discretionary short-term incentive payments.
  • Medical, vision, dental, life, disability, wellness, and gender-affirmation benefits.
  • Parental leave, 21 accrued PTO days annually, and 10 paid holidays.
  • 401(k) plan and professional and educational support opportunities.
  • Relocation assistance and travel requirements of 0–10%.
