What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain PLC-based control systems for chemical processing equipment, test stands, and production systems.
• Develop and integrate SCADA/HMI systems for monitoring, control, alarming, and operational visibility.
• Build high-reliability, performance-critical control services in C++ or Rust.
• Define software architecture, coding standards, testing strategies, and operational practices for PLC-based control systems.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, and field devices with hardware, electrical, and process engineering teams.
• Lead debugging, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements across the automation stack.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing industrial control systems or automation software.
• Production-level experience with C++ or Rust.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs and industrial control platforms such as Beckhoff/TwinCAT, Siemens, Rockwell, or equivalent.
• Experience with SCADA/HMI systems, industrial networking, real-time systems, control loops, and hardware/software integration.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience in safety-critical, high-reliability, or regulated industrial environments such as chemical, energy, aerospace, robotics, or semiconductor.
• Experience designing fault-tolerant, observable, and testable control systems.
• Experience with automated testing, simulation, or hardware-in-the-loop test frameworks.
• Technical leadership experience in setting engineering standards and mentoring engineers.
