Data Governance (Salesforce)

Location: New York City, United States

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 per year, plus a 5% variable annual bonus and potential RSU grant.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, standards, ownership models, and stewardship processes for Salesforce and Operator data.
• Monitor data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness; lead cleansing, deduplication, validation, dashboard, and KPI initiatives.
• Ensure data practices align with GDPR, CCPA, SOX, HIPAA where applicable, and internal compliance requirements.
• Partner with Security and IT on data classification, access controls, retention policies, audits, and risk assessments.
• Govern master data definitions, picklists, naming conventions, taxonomies, metadata documentation, and change management.
• Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, developers, architects, and business stakeholders; facilitate governance council meetings and support release cycles.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or Salesforce administration or architecture.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM data structures, objects, and relationships.
• Experience with data quality tools, master data management, and data governance methodologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, documentation, policy creation, and change management skills.
• Analytical problem-solving, data literacy, and technical aptitude.

Nice to have

• Salesforce Admin, Advanced Admin, Data Architect, or Application Architect certification.
• Experience with enterprise data governance programs.
• Knowledge of relevant compliance frameworks.
• Background in Sales Operations, RevOps, or CRM management.
