Senior Flight Software Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design and develop mission-critical real-time flight software for autonomous aerospace and defense systems.
• Integrate guidance, navigation, and control software with IMUs, GPS, seekers, cameras, radar, and motor or actuation systems.
• Build reliable communication interfaces between processors using CAN, UART, Ethernet, and related technologies.
• Develop hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testing infrastructure, telemetry, logging, and system health monitoring.
• Support flight tests, hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation across embedded microcontrollers and Linux flight computers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working as a flight software engineer.
• Strong C or C++ skills for performance-critical systems and experience with real-time or near-real-time software.
• Experience with sensor integration and guidance, navigation, and control systems.
• Experience with Linux-based embedded platforms, hardware bring-up, debugging buses, reading datasheets, and instrumenting systems during flight tests.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise be eligible to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.
