What you will do

• Build and extend driver-based Excel models for commercial forecasts, portfolio projections, and product-level economics.
• Produce management forecasts and perform variance analysis to explain deviations from plan.
• Analyze receivables portfolio performance using vintages, cohorts, amortization, and loss curves in Qlik.
• Model unit economics across lending, payments, and energy products, including lifetime earnings, capital requirements, and return timing.
• Contribute to investor and board reporting and prepare accurate responses to external reviews of financial figures.
• Build business cases for pricing changes, new products, and market launches, while automating recurring reporting with Claude Code.

Requirements

• Completed degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field; this is a graduate role rather than a placement alongside studies.
• Ability to build structured financial models from scratch, separating assumptions from calculation logic.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to explain the reasons behind changes in financial figures.
• Ability to handle confidential, non-public financial information responsibly.
• Fluent English is required as the working language.
• Based in Berlin and able to work onsite in an office-first environment; minimum six-month commitment required.

Nice to have

• SQL, Qlik, or another business intelligence tool.
• Exposure to lending, payments, subscriptions, energy markets, banking, private equity, venture capital, consulting, or fintech.
• German for accounting and audit work.
