(Senior) Finance Controller (Gaming)

Location: Berlin, Germany (hybrid); relocation package with visa support available.

What you will do

• Own monthly management P&L and quarterly consolidated balance sheet and P&L reporting for strategic shareholder NCSoft.
• Lead the annual budget and rolling forecast, including cost-center ownership, monthly reviews, and follow-up actions.
• Partner with Revenue Generation, Ad Monetisation, User Acquisition, User Payments, and G&A on profitability and cost control.
• Build variance analyses, scenario models, weekly flash reporting, and quarterly business reviews.
• Establish Metabase and Looker as reliable sources for finance KPIs and reconcile BI data with invoices and the ledger.
• Support liquidity forecasting, month-end close, accruals, cut-off, and chart-of-accounts design in DATEV while mentoring the FP&A team member.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in controlling or FP&A, including at least 2 years in a scale-up or digital B2C business.
• Experience reporting to a corporate, strategic shareholder, or private equity owner, including multi-entity consolidation and external reporting templates.
• End-to-end ownership of budget and forecast cycles with driver-based financial models.
• Hands-on experience with a BI tool such as Metabase or Looker and advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Strong accounting knowledge covering accruals, FX, revenue recognition, and IFRS/HGB reconciliation.
• Fluent English required. German is advantageous for cooperation with PwC, DATEV, and local entities.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ad monetisation and user acquisition economics, including eCPM, ROAS/LTV, and network payout terms.
• Experience with an Asian corporate parent, DATEV, Moss, or Embat.
• Experience building a controlling function or KPI governance from scratch.
• Familiarity with multi-currency USD/EUR payment flows and FX effects.
• Experience mentoring or leading finance team members.
