Senior Engineer, Product Design Engineering (HDD Electronics)

What you will do

• Architect, implement, and control manufacturing workflows for HDD electronics, including assembly, testing, and integration.
• Support PCBA new product introduction from development builds through EMS and factory transfer, low- and high-volume manufacturing, sustaining, and end of life.
• Prepare and release engineering documents, component build matrices, BOM updates, RCOs, NRCOs, conversion lists, and rework dispositions.
• Oversee electronics production processes and stations including ECAT, Servo Write, Functional Test, SRST, Feature Test, OQA, and ORT.
• Monitor overall yield, First-Time Yield, Rolling Throughput Yield, error codes, rework, and vendor-return metrics using data analytics.
• Collaborate with development, SQE, QA, procurement, EMS, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues, improve manufacturability, and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronic, Electromechanical, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
• 1–2 years of experience in HDD or a relevant industry; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Good command of English in written and verbal communication is required.
• Willingness to travel.
• Exposure to PCBA SMT assembly, basic PCBA failure analysis, manufacturing or production environments, HDD technology, and quality management systems.
• Skills in Microsoft Office, basic programming, Spotfire, Python, Tableau, and analysis techniques.
