Buyer, Electronics, Interconnect & General Procurement

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; full-time, on-site

hirify.global’s Orbitworks Operations department is scaling procurement from first launch toward multi-program production.

What you will do

• Own sourcing for electronics and interconnect categories, including wire harnesses, connectors, PCBs, PCBAs, and electrical components.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard suppliers through RFQs, negotiations, selection, and contract awards.
• Develop category strategies covering supply-base mapping, dual sourcing, localization, cost optimization, and lead-time reduction.
• Coordinate component selection, approved alternates, obsolescence management, and FAI activities with Engineering, D2M, and Quality.
• Manage the purchase order lifecycle in NetSuite, including requisitions, technical and quality flow-downs, acknowledgements, expediting, and delivery tracking.
• Support production planning, indirect procurement, inventory activities, supplier issue resolution, and continuous improvement across SCM.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of procurement experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, including tactical buying, purchase order management, expediting, and supplier follow-up.
• Experience sourcing electronics, PCB/PCBA, cable and wire harnesses, connectors, or electro-mechanical components.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, space, or another highly regulated industry, with working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 FAI, counterfeit-part prevention, CoCs, and material traceability.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and technical documentation and collaborate with Engineering and D2M.
• Experience with blanket purchase orders, purchase contracts, framework agreements, procurement automation, and continuous improvement.
• Must be based in the UAE with valid residency and work authorization and able to work full-time on-site. Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, and experience with global suppliers are required.

• Experience managing direct and indirect procurement categories such as services, facilities, office operations, and marketing spend.
• Experience in a startup, scale-up, or new manufacturing facility where procurement systems were being established.
• Experience building, standardizing, and improving procurement processes and operational workflows.
