Staff Manufacturing Systems Engineer, Consumer Technology

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; onsite manufacturing systems role.

Annual base salary: $117,000–$160,000, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Define manufacturing execution systems strategy, production data architecture, documentation standards, and scalable manufacturing frameworks.
• Lead cross-functional ERP, MES, PLM, and QMS implementations, integrations, upgrades, and business transformation initiatives.
• Establish standards for BOMs, routings, part numbering, manufacturing master data, traceability, genealogy, electronic device history records, and production documentation.
• Lead manufacturing systems readiness for new product introductions, production transfers, product launches, and capacity expansion.
• Design and deploy digital manufacturing capabilities, system enhancements, integrations, automation, quality management, and operational analytics.
• Mentor manufacturing systems and manufacturing engineers while advising leadership on system strategy and operational readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, systems engineering, information systems, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing systems, manufacturing engineering, NPI, industrial engineering, operations technology, or related fields.
• Deep expertise in ERP, MES, PLM, QMS, and manufacturing execution processes.
• Advanced knowledge of BOMs, routings, item masters, configuration management, traceability, and manufacturing data governance.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects, manufacturing system implementations, and development of manufacturing execution standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, systems-thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Epicor ERP, Siemens Opcenter, SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise manufacturing platforms.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing, including medical devices, aerospace, defense, automotive, or advanced technology manufacturing.
• Familiarity with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, AS9100, IATF 16949, Industry 4.0, digital manufacturing, analytics, or automation.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• PMP certification or equivalent program leadership experience.
