Senior Director, Fund Accounting (Fintech)

Location: On-site in Vancouver, BC, Canada

Salary: CA$140K–CA$220K total compensation, plus equity and bonus

What you will do

• Own post-close fund accounting records, reconciliations, NAVs, PCAPs, and financial statement preparation.
• Develop and maintain controls for fund-level ledgers, NAV calculations, capital calls, and distributions.
• Lead annual fund-related audits, regulatory reporting, and the preparation and distribution of annual K-1s.
• Own the fund valuation process and ensure valuations are accurate and auditable.
• Partner with fund services, legal, sales and trading, corporate finance, and other teams.
• Lead the fund accounting team and implement systems and automation improvements that scale with transaction volume.

Requirements

• 5+ years of fund accounting or fund administration experience.
• Experience preparing fund-level financial statements and coordinating audits.
• Experience preparing or reviewing K-1s or other year-end tax documents.
• Strong knowledge of NAV calculations, capital calls, and distributions.
• Experience in a regulated financial services or fintech environment.
• CPA designation or equivalent accounting credential.

Nice to have

• Experience with private company secondary markets or pre-IPO equity.
• Experience building accounting systems and controls from the ground up.
• Familiarity with Canadian and U.S. regulatory reporting requirements.
• Experience in a startup or rapidly growing organization.
