TL;DR

Corporate Tax Manager (Finance): Managing corporate tax planning, compliance, and reporting functions for the company and its affiliates with an accent on tax technical research, analysis, and audit management. Focus on minimizing tax liabilities through proactive planning, providing expert tax advice to internal business units, and ensuring adherence to tax legislation.

Location: Must have current work authorization for Canada. The role is based in Toronto (moving to Mississauga in late 2026) with flexible hybrid and remote options available.

Salary: $115,000 – $140,000 CAD annually, plus discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Prepare and review corporate income and indirect tax returns for the company and its subsidiaries.
  • Perform tax research, consulting, and analysis to support business operations and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Manage tax audits and enquiries from various tax authorities.
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions.
  • Provide tax advice and support to Finance, Operations, and Legal departments.
  • Lead special tax engagements and process improvement projects.

Requirements

  • University degree in finance or accounting.
  • Minimum 4 years of accounting/tax experience, including at least 2 years specifically in corporate tax.
  • CPA designation or Master of Taxation.
  • Completion of CICA In-Depth Tax Courses Level 1 & 2.
  • Current work authorization for Canada is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm.
  • Background in the financial industry or transfer pricing.
