Requirements Senior Specalist

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Elicit and clarify requirements through workshops, interviews, and document analysis.
• Create, structure, decompose, and maintain clear, complete, consistent, and testable requirements.
• Use requirements management tools and repositories while maintaining data quality, naming consistency, and version control.
• Maintain bidirectional traceability between stakeholder needs, system and technical requirements, and verification artifacts.
• Support change management, impact analysis, requirements baselines, reviews, audits, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, testers, quality functions, and external requirements service providers while improving requirements management methods and tools.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in requirements engineering or related roles.
• Required knowledge of Codebeamer and structured development processes.
• Strong analytical, structuring, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience or willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, continuously improving environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with CodeBeamer, JAMA, or Flow.
• Automotive embedded software development lifecycle experience in body controllers, ADAS, propulsion, or infotainment.
• Experience with complex multi-domain system requirements and cross-functional dependencies across software, hardware, and mechanical areas.
• Experience managing agile and V-model projects in automotive software development.
• Knowledge of regulatory and governing-body legislation.
