Intake Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - PMHNP - 1099/Contractor

Location: Remote within the United States; active PMHNP licensure is required in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, or New Jersey

What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and establish a clinical foundation for ongoing care.
• Assess patients and collaborate with the clinical team to match them with appropriate providers and treatment approaches.
• Coordinate care with therapists and other healthcare professionals while engaging patients and families.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and mental health support.
• Oversee diagnostic testing and maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant intake documentation.

Requirements

• Active PMHNP license in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, or New Jersey
• At least two years of independent psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner practice under licensure.
• At least one year of experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults under any nursing license.
• ANCC or AANP board certification as PMHNP-BC.
• DEA license, state prescriptive authority license, and autonomous practice status.
• Computer, phone, high-speed internet, Google Suite, EHR, and virtual care technology experience; commitment to at least 10 hours per week.
