1099 Mental Health Therapist - Nationwide

Location: Fully remote within the United States. Therapy hours of operation are 8am to 3am ET, seven days a week. During the academic year, availability of at least 8 hours per week is required, with flexibility based on student volumes.

Compensation: $75–$95 per completed 60-minute intake session; $55–$75 per completed 45-minute follow-up session; $30 per no-show appointment; $60 per hour for monthly therapy training and all-hands meetings.

What you will do

• Deliver virtual therapy using evidence-based interventions, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
• Conduct biopsychosocial intakes, diagnostic assessments, and individualized treatment planning.
• Connect with students through the collaboration portal and provide ongoing therapeutic support.
• Coordinate care with campus treatment providers, supervisors, peers, and administrative support staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of clinical interactions.
• Identify and manage escalating risk scenarios in collaboration with leadership.

Requirements

• Independently licensed as an LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LMHC.
• Experience conducting thorough biopsychosocial intakes and clear diagnostic assessments.
• Ability to create appropriate treatment plans and support a diverse student population.
• Ability to manage escalating clinical risk effectively.
• Reliable laptop or desktop computer, quality video camera, and stable internet connection.
• Must be located in the United States and able to work within the stated ET operating hours.

Nice to have

• Multi-state clinical licensure.
• At least 4 hours of evening or weekend availability after 5:00 PM local time.
