Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer (Consumer Technology)

Location: Devens, MA, United States

Salary: $95,000–$131,000 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Methods of Manufacture, travelers, routers, work instructions, and other manufacturing execution documentation for NPI, product changes, transfers, and scale-up.
• Translate engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and customer requirements into executable shop-floor documentation with operations, inspection points, acceptance criteria, and traceability.
• Support pilot, first-article, and validation builds, launch readiness reviews, root-cause investigations, and documentation gap closure.
• Coordinate part numbers, BOMs, routings, master data, revision control, and system workflows across Epicor, MES, and related platforms.
• Define manufacturing system requirements and data capture needs for production, inspection, traceability, nonconformance, and DHR/LHR records.
• Support system testing, UAT, validation, training, integrations, and standardized launch-readiness processes across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Operations, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, NPI, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience creating and maintaining travelers, routers, work instructions, process flows, and Methods of Manufacture.
• Hands-on experience with ERP, MES, PLM, QMS, or related manufacturing enterprise systems, with a strong understanding of BOMs, routings, item masters, inventory transactions, revision control, and traceability.
• Experience supporting new product introduction, manufacturing transfers, or scale-up programs.
• Ability to independently manage projects and solve difficult cross-functional manufacturing challenges with strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Epicor ERP and MES platforms.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing, including medical device, aerospace, defense, automotive, or pharmaceutical environments.
• Familiarity with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, AS9100, IATF 16949, or similar quality systems.
• Experience with digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0, manufacturing data analytics, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APQP, or project management.
