Site Operations Manager (Robotics)

Location: Hybrid in Lockhart, Texas, with candidates located in the surrounding Austin area; work from customer sites and 50%+ travel required

What you will do

• Assess partner sites, define operational requirements, and create deployment work plans.
• Plan and execute autonomous-system deployments across multiple construction sites.
• Coordinate launch readiness, onsite setup, workflow validation, and safety alignment with engineering, fleet, and site teams.
• Oversee daily operations, launch transitions, project closeout, reporting, and post-deployment improvements.
• Lead customer onboarding, hands-on training, operational support, and certification for site managers and equipment operators.
• Maintain partner relationships and translate field insights into improved products, workflows, and training materials.

Requirements

• Experience managing operations in construction or industrial environments.
• Experience directing heavy-equipment operators and field crews.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, site maps, survey data, and grading plans for earthwork operations.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with engineering and field teams, training customers, and providing operational support.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices, with experience ensuring field compliance.
• Willingness to travel 50% or more and work from customer sites.

Nice to have

• Background in autonomy, robotics, or advanced construction technology.
• Familiarity with Propeller Aero and customer-facing operational platforms.
• Experience launching operational programs or deployments.
• Experience building training programs, manuals, or playbooks.
