Machinist (Manufacturing)

Location: Chaska, Minnesota, United States; onsite shifts including Monday–Thursday 4:00 PM–2:00 AM CST and Thursday–Sunday 6:00 AM–4:00 PM CST.

Salary: $24–$30+ per hour, depending on skills. Shift differential and a sign-on bonus are offered.

What you will do

• Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and 5-axis equipment to produce precision parts within tight tolerances.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, work orders, and specifications to plan machining requirements and setups.
• Install cutting tools, fixtures, and accessories; verify CNC programs and adjust machine parameters.
• Support first-run production by programming CNC mills and lathes with Mastercam and transferring machining files.
• Inspect parts using calipers, drop indicators, Camline, and visual quality checks; take corrective action when needed.
• Maintain equipment, complete production and SAP documentation, and participate in 6S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and other continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and documented processes.
• Familiarity with manual and CNC machine tools, machining operations, tool selection, and common G&M codes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift, lift up to 40 pounds, perform repetitive hand movements, detect quality defects, and wear required PPE.
