Senior Backend Software Developer (Automotive)

Location: Remote

Salary: $135,000–$190,000 annual base pay

What you will do

• Define, design, architect, implement, and deliver backend software and digital customer experiences.
• Develop and test system components while leading code and design reviews.
• Own end-to-end code quality, system testing, functional testing, and integration.
• Collaborate with UX and product teams to create customer-focused solutions and applications.
• Make complex technology trade-off decisions and connect technical choices with business impact.
• Mentor engineers and support career development on advanced technical topics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 6+ years of programming experience with a modern language such as TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• 6+ years of experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
• 4+ years contributing to software architecture and system design, including reliability and scaling.
• 4+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
