What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs for a nuclear fuel cycle facility.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments to verify compliance and identify improvements.
  • Oversee supplier and subcontractor qualification against QA requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and regulatory teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Review and approve procedures, plans, reports, and other technical documentation.
  • Prepare QA metrics, support personnel training, and participate in regulatory reviews and inspections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, analytical problem-solving, and trade studies.
  • Strong knowledge of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, and ISO 9001.
  • Familiarity with NRC, DOE, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and auditing techniques.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Nice to have

  • Quality assurance experience in the nuclear industry or another regulated environment.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or similar certification.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, highly technical, or entrepreneurial engineering environment.
  • Advanced degree or evidence of exceptional ability through prior projects or completed products.
